Landscape Maintenance

We are a landscape maintenance-free community!

The Board of Directors is responsible for the maintenance of all landscaping.  This includes grass cutting, trimming, weeding, fertilization, pest control, irrigation system maintenance, palm and tree pruning and the trimming of all original developer plants and shrubs and those replaced by the Association.

The following document shows the current irrigation schedule for each home in Grand Oaks:

Due to ongoing drought conditions, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) Governing Board voted on Tuesday, June 23 to extend the Modified Phase III “Extreme” Water Shortage restrictions through Oct. 1, 2026, which requires all Sarasota County residents to irrigate under limited hours.

Sarasota County residents should continue to only water on their assigned watering day with reduced watering hours from 12:00 a.m. to 4 a.m. or 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Properties that are less than one acre in size may only use one of these windows.

SWFWMD’s Phase III restrictions are in effect Friday, April 3, 2026, through Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026.

More detailed information, such as when car washing and low volume watering of plants and shrub is allowed, may be found by following this link:

Lawns may only be watered once per week; therefore, we will continue the schedule as posted.
