Book Club Announcements
The Grand Oaks Book Club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00 pm in the Clubhouse.
All residents are invited to participate and attend the meetings.

In an effort to encourage more variety in book selections, since October 2024, book club members have signed up for a month, selected the book for that month, led the discussion of the book, and provided light refreshments.
Please pick a month that will work in your schedule. Snowbirds, please sign up for a month when you know you will be in Venice, even if you do not know yet what book you will pick.
The books do not necessarily need to be available from the library book bag selections. If we can get a list of chosen books well ahead of time, it should give members time to get copies from the library, share books, or purchase them (if desired).
You may have an old favorite book you are eager to share or have read a recently released best seller. The sky’s the limit. I would only caution you to choose something that isn’t too terribly long. As a reminder, we agreed to avoid political and religious books when we started the book club, but both fiction and non-fiction books are appropriate.

Committee Members have their own Book Club Message Board located in the Resident Pages section where we can communicate with other Book Club members. All Grand Oaks residents can view the messages. Please be sure to "Subscribe" to receive an automatic email notification whenever a new post is added.
Please email me with your request to pick an available month and your book selection (if known). If you have not yet decided on a book, you can add your selection later. Visitors may contact the book club using the "Contact Us" page on our website.
